What is the dress code?

Black Tie Optional. We desire an elegant evening but want our guests to be comfortable and ready to dance!

Christmas colors, such as red and green, are highly encouraged! Come and celebrate this magical season with us.

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

Please arrive 30 minutes before the ceremony's start in order to be seated and settled before the proceedings.

Our ceremony will start promptly at 4:00 PM; guests who arrive late will not be permitted.

Where is Cox Chapel located?

Cox Chapel is located on the Southern end of Highland Park United Methodist's campus and fronts Mockingbird Lane. It is the smaller of the two chapel's on HPUMC's campus.

Directional signage and staff will be present to assist, but please allow some time to find the chapel if you are unfamiliar with Highland Park's campus.

What are your transportation recommendations?

While we encourage our guests to use a ride share service, parking will be available at Highland Park United Methodist and valet at Hotel ZaZa.

Will the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception be indoors?

Our ceremony will be indoors in the Cox Chapel at Highland Park United Methodist Church. Following the ceremony, our cocktail hour and reception will be inside at Hotel ZaZa. If the weather is cold, we recommend bringing a shawl, fur coat, or jacket.

What will the weather be like?

While we can't predict the exact forecast for our special day, December days in Dallas have ranged from 75 degrees with blue skies to a cooler 40 degrees.

Can I bring children or a plus one?

Due to space restrictions, we are unable to accommodate children or additional plus ones at our wedding. Thank you for understanding.

Is there a hotel room block for guests?

While we encourage our guests to stay at Hotel ZaZa, we have arranged a room block at the nearby Uptown Marriot. Please visit the Hotel & Travel page for the link to our room block as well as additional hotel recommendations.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony & reception?

We invite our guests to be present with us and limit their cell phone and photography use during our ceremony.

Reception and dance floor photos are highly encouraged, but please be mindful of our photographer's view.

What's your wedding hashtag?

When will the reception end? Will there be an after-party?

We expect our reception to conclude around 10:00 PM. Following our grand exit, we'll return for the after-party at Hotel ZaZa's Dragonfly Bar.... open until 2 AM!
